Jayson Tatum was interviewed after the Celtics practice on Thursday and spoke about their upcoming series vs the Brooklyn Nets. He talked about former-Celtic Kyrie Irving, gave advice to the younger players, and commented on how much of a confidence booster his 50-point game was for the team.<br />The media asked Tatum about Irving and how they became friends. This was his response: “We both went to Duke, at one point we had the same agent… we played here together for two seasons… we got to see his work ethic everyday.”<br />Tatum was also asked about what advice he would have for the team’s younger players, and responded with this statement: “We’re gonna need them… during this time of the year you never know when you’re going to be needed… there’s numerous situations where maybe a guy doesn’t play the first two games of a series, you go down 0-2, and someone unexpected comes in and makes a huge impact in Game 3… just to be prepared for every game.”<br />Lastly, Tatum commented on his 50-point game and the confidence boost it gave the team, saying this: “I’m sure it helps us… I think that’s just part of my role and everybody has a different role… obviously I’ve had a few of those big nights… it was just one of those nights… obviously we all felt good about ourselves after that… onto a new series.”<br /><br />- #celtics #NBA #CLNS<br />The CLNS Media Network is the leading provider for video/audio content.
